Managed service provider software from Axcient has been noticed for its potential in intelligent edge solutions by a top US tech magazine.

Axcient makes business availability software that targets MSP requirements around SaaS, backup, business continuity, disaster recovery and secure file sync and sharing. Offerings include direct-to-cloud backup and an appliance-free BCDR (business continuity/disaster recovery) solution.

The 2020 Edge Computing 100 list is featured in a special December 2020 issue of CRN and online.

David Bennett, chief executive at Axcient, said: “Axcient offers partners an innovative, unified platform to cure data lost for their clients and a dedicated support team to address any concerns quickly. Our goal is to keep businesses up and running with our technology.”

Blaine Raddon, chief executive at CRN‘s publisher, The Channel Company, said: “Increasing data collection and processing power at the edge is the foundation needed to create intelligent systems, enabling companies to improve efficiency and productivity and work smarter.”

The news follows hard on the heels of Axcient’s release of x360Recover Virtual Office in early December.

Axcient x360Recover Virtual Office enables MSPs to quickly virtualise one or more systems in the Axcient Cloud to temporarily replace all affected production infrastructure. Self-managed cloud disaster recovery technology helps MSPs keep customer businesses up and running, the company said in the announcement.

Ben Nowacky, senior vice president of product at Axcient, said the solution offers MSPs insurance in the event of a server outage, local disaster, or ransomware attack.

“We have packaged a technology solution together for MSPs to easily provide reliable cloud-based business continuity and disaster recovery.”
