PostCoder Desktop

Description

Address finder desktop software for looking up complete addresses from any address element. A GeoData data file is available comprising 100m grid references, NHS codes and names and local authority ward codes.
PostCoder Pro Desktop enables users to lookup a full address from an address fragment including label printing, keyword searching, storing of favourites and the ability to send addresses to any Microsoft Windows-based application or database. The following search types are available:

• Basic Searching: used to find the postcode if specific address details are given such as the street, locality and town
• Rapid Addressing: can be used in a call centre environment to match house name or number with a given postcode
• Address Matching: used to find a complete address when fragments of the address have been provided.

It is available in the following editions:

• PostCoder Lite: street level address lookup using uses thoroughfare level address data
• PostCoder Pro: address matching, keyword search and storage of bookmarked address functions using premise level address data and including annual PAF updates.

GeoData

The GeoData data file is available consisting of 100m grid references, NHS codes and names and local authority ward codes and names for each postcode. Data are maintained by PostCoder.com and comprise Royal Mail data, National Statistics data, Ordnance Survey data and Allies Computing Ltd data.
